All car rentals in Urmston are governed by a comprehensive Rental Agreement, which you will receive upon booking confirmation or when you collect your vehicle. This document outlines the specific terms, conditions, insurance coverage, charges, and your responsibilities associated with the rental. In case of any discrepancies between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will prevail.
Eligibility Criteria
Vehicle Rental Requirements

- Reservations can be made via our website, by phone, or directly at our Urmston office. To confirm your booking, a deposit may be necessary. The remaining balance and any security deposit are usually payable at the time of vehicle pick-up. All prices are listed in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable. We accept major credit and debit cards, processed securely through trusted payment providers.
Urmston Vehicle Pickup and Drop-off
- At the time of vehicle collection, it is important to conduct a thorough inspection and report any pre-existing damage without delay. A vehicle condition report will be prepared and signed by both parties. When returning the vehicle, it should be in the same condition as it was collected, with allowances made for standard wear and tear. Any new damage will be evaluated and charged appropriately. You will be accountable for any damage or loss up to the excess amount, unless further insurance is purchased. Damage resulting from negligence, misuse, or violation of these Terms will remain your responsibility, irrespective of insurance coverage.
Cancellation and Modifications
Cancellation and amendment policies differ based on the type of booking and the notice provided. For precise information, please consult your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement. Be aware that late cancellations or no-shows may incur additional charges.
Prohibited Activities
Prohibited Uses of the Vehicle
- Use of the vehicle for illegal activities is prohibited. Engaging in racing, rallying, off-roading, or any other dangerous pursuits is not allowed. Transporting hazardous materials or sub-letting the vehicle to unauthorized individuals is forbidden. Driving while impaired by alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited. The vehicle must not be used for purposes it was not constructed for, nor should passenger or weight limits be exceeded. Driving beyond the specified geographical limits requires prior authorization.
Breach of these terms may lead to rental termination and extra fees.
8. Liability Restrictions
To the fullest extent allowed by English and Welsh law, Car Hire Urmston is not responsible for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business resulting from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claims is capped at the rental amount paid in the prior 12 months, excluding liability for death or personal injury due to negligence or fraud.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in this region.
